Prowers County Development, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director to further develop a positive trend in recruiting, retaining, and expanding businesses within Prowers County, Colorado. Director guides economic development efforts and directs staff workload. Prowers County, population 14,000, is primarily ag-based with a small manufacturing core; its largest city is Lamar, population 8,000. It is home to the 5th largest wind generation farm and has been selected as the Northern Hemisphere site for the Pierre Auger Cosmic Ray Observatory.

Qualified candidates should have a degree/certificate in Economic Development, Business Administration or Marketing and five years related experience, preferably in a municipal environment. Preference will be given to applicants with economic development experience in rural settings. Successful grant writing experience useful.
