Lamar Community College is a comprehensive community college serving students at their point of need. This includes transfer (Associate of Arts, Associate of Science) and occupational degrees (Associate of General Studies, Associate of Applied Studies) and certificates of study in a variety of fields, including Agriculture, Business, Cosmetology/Barbering, Equine Business Management, Information Technology, Horse Training & Management, Nursing (CNA, LPN, and RN levels), and Construction Technologies/Historic Preservation. LCC’s Construction Technologies program includes Carpentry, Electrical, Masonry, Painting, Plumbing, and Welding. Students who require developmental coursework to be successful at the college level can access English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education, and GED preparation courses, as well as tutoring and academic and career counseling services. Additionally, students can complete their bachelor’s degrees through partnerships with several universities, including an on-campus and distance learning partnership with the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.

As a resource for area communities and businesses, LCC seeks to serve area businesses with appropriate training and coursework. It also serves as a cultural hub with events and activities that enrich students’ and community members’ lives.
